Standing with Giants is a registered charity who creates large-scale outdoor remembrance art installations, individually hand made from upcycled materials by volunteers. We use art to create spaces for reflection and remembrance, to discuss, to grieve, bringing individuals together to remember those who fought for freedom, both past and present.

The charity was founded by Dan Barton, community conceptual artist who began the project in 2019 after creating several powerful displays to honour those who served. He refers to the silhouettes as Giants because of the enormity of the sacrifice made by the individuals they represent — a sacrifice that allows others to live in freedom.
