I WANT TO LIVE

A Standing with Giants initiative, in tribute to the people of Ukraine.

This installation depicts a 13ft high Ukrainian Soldier holding a baby, leading a Ukrainian woman and child to safety.

From conception to completion, this powerful statue was created in just 12 days.

Dan worked in collaboration with artist, Peter Naylor, to help him produce his vision, which was laser cut out of 15mm sheet steel. This touring art installation has been displayed in Oxford city centre, Salisbury Market Square, Bournemouth, Southampton Guildhall Square, Portsmouth, Worthing, Brighton, Eastbourne and now Folkestone. The presence of the ‘I want to live’ tribute whilst touring has helped promote the amazing work of local groups who offer humanitarian aid and support to those suffering in Ukraine.
